Berlinale Finalizes 2025 Panorama, Generation, Forum Lineups

Rosa von Praunheim’s “The Satanic Sow,” Jing Yi’s “The Botanist” and Gerd Kroske’s “Pride & Attitude” round out main sidebars ahead of the festival’s 75th edition.

The Berlin International Film Festival has completed its selection of films in the three sections Panorama, Generation (Kplus), and Forum for its 75th edition, scheduled to take place February 13–23, 2025.

Rosa von Praunheim's “Satanische Sau” (“The Satanic Sow”) joins the previously-announced 34 titles for the Panorama section, which will be opened by Andreas Prochaska's “Welcome Home Baby” (Austria/Germany).

Another addition, joining Generation (Kplus) program is “Zhi Wu Xue Jia” (“The Botanist”) by Jing Yi.

Forum section also locked its lineup for 55th edition by adding Gerd Kroske's “Stolz & Eigensinn” (“Pride & Attitude”) to its slate of 30 films, representing 5 continents.

The 75th Berlin International Film Festival opens Feb. 13 with the world premiere of Tom Tykwer’s “Das Licht” (“The Light”). The ceremony will also feature the introduction of the International Jury and the presentation of the Honorary Golden Bear to Tilda Swinton for lifetime achievement. Luxembourg-born actor, presenter and filmmaker Désirée Nosbusch will host the event.
